I'm not disagreeing with him, anywhere in this thread really. At one point I misunderstood the opponent and for the rest, I was basically explaining why a bet would be appropriate in some cases.

what is a situation where you think it would be beter? given its a totally diff hand vs a player who you have a read on.

Against a total calling station who doesn't bluff. I can't do better than that now, this game is too much.

Yea I was gonna say that earlier too [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I haven't read TOP in too long.

You should definitely get SSH if you are gonna play limit.

i dont plan on playing limit any time soon, but i should read that book anyways. The more wepons in teh arsenal the beter.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I don't think you're ahead enough to call a river raise. But I'm saying you will get bluff raised on the river occasionally, which does make a river bet slightly worse.
