played it correctly but lost anyway.

or played it correctly and came out ahead in the long run. Pot is big, so your margin for error is huge. You'll win enough.

Thxs guys

A no brainer to call I thought, its the bet for value concept that I am having trouble with.

Will I get called by a weaker hand enough to make this a profitable move in the long run as apposed to checking it down.

You have to bet the river and you have to call. That's the way it is.

Any deviation from the way you actually played this hand warrants harsh criticism.

Sorry you lost this time.
