Re: AQs out of position
Sheesh, do they (donkeys) really play that badly online? Have never played online and in the 20-40 game I play in the only hand hero can beat is JJ. Even with the high cards out, AA KK QQ or AK is what I look at in this type of situation. I vote check-call flop, bet turn and fold to a raise.

Thanks for all your replies. I think the alternative I had was to bet out on the flop. I didn't want to risk too many bets, in case he did have AA, KK, AK. As I said, he seemed tight, but I didn't know him. If he has a lower PP, why would I want him to stop betting? Anyway, he had QQ, and turned the 1-outer. I was wondering if I could have won the pot on the flop at once if I had bet out, or check-raised, but I think there's more to be gained in this situation by check-calling down and betting the river if he checks behind on the turn.

Re: AQs out of position
"Most party opponents, even relatively tight ones, include KQ and AJ in their reraising hands in this situation. And given the number of high cards out the big pairs are relatively unlikely."
Most party players 3-bet preflop with KQ and AJ? We all wish this was true but I think not. Check call whole way looks good. -Ezcheeze |
