Yeah, but to get all aggro on the river after you've missed?

It was a bluff. And a re-bluff. And a re-re-bluff.

I got burned against a guy like that earlier today. In one pot, he capped 35s preflop. In the next, he capped J-high on the river (every street was capped). The next, against me, I flopped a full house (8's full of Queens) and he flopped Quads. I lost a bundle on that one.

OK, it's unusual ... but I can see it happening.

My opponent had 56o. Yes, you read that correctly. 56o.

You guys are way off. He was making some value bets, hoping to make his straight on 6th street, otherwise known as "the stream".

Man I love poker on TV.

I tend to play with the chat off, but every so often you get someone who drops a "Had to bet to win it blah blah blah" statement that they heard on the WPT once.

Overall, this play isn't too out of line for Party. Most people there cling to gutshots like they are golden and when they miss they just reflect on the "wisdom" of VVP and bluff.

Sixth Street is the Ocean. Seventh, the Abyss.
