In the spot he was in, down to the final 3 tables of the largest poker tournament in history, pot odds make little difference. In a cash game "he'd be a huge pussy not to call" but here, it's not a smart play if you want a chance to win it all.

But if you do call, you certainly have no right to berate the guy for having the best hand!

I laughed at how he could give him crap for that hand when he made a worse move on his A,7 on the next hand and again, lucked out. I was praying for a King.

With a prize pool that escalates drastically, the converse is that it might be right to gamble to increase your chances of getting those top few spots.

i think there was 1.2 or 1.3 million in the pot and it cost Arieh .2 or so million to call. it was a clear call, even in a tournament.

When the lost coinflip might cost you a chance at 5mi. Save those chips for later when you are a bigger favorite.

i think that his large bet out into the pot first to act, gave him the odds to make the call if someone did exactly what harry did to him.

once again, espn is killing people who would like to learn by not having a pot size indicator on the screen, but i don't think that calling the extra for the all in was a huge mistake, if any mistake was made it was betting out into the pot first to act.

then he lucks out with a7 against ak.....bleh.

This isn't quite right. Arieh bet 400k on the flop and had 500k behind. See the Josh apology thread.

so anytime anyone makes a complete A.SSSS of himself on national tv all he has to do is submit a weak apology to RGP and all is forgotten..? thats BS. he's a classless man.

Also note that he only posted it now, after he was called classless by the announcers, not in May after it happened. He needed Norman Chad to point out his mistake instead of simply realizing it himself.
