Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
yep,
there is no such thing as a cmpletely fair roulette wheel, there have been quite a few books written on this subject. Either finding biased wheels or tracking the ball as it travels around the wheel. |

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
The only thing you need to know about randomness is that if you have pocket K's, someone will call your pre-flop raise with an A 6 and either flop an ace or two 6's.

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
Happy Birthday Lori
Also, my Roulette example was meant to just be an example of randomness. Substitute flipping a coin since it seems that it was once possible to exploit roulette wheels. |

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
You could do it, but you would need pattern mapping software with the logarithmic transform to analyze the data. (Older pattern maps don't work nearly as well.) For details, search on "pattern maps" in this forum.

Re: What do you think of this Idea ?
So you'd basically be mapping the pattern of the cards? Interesting idea.
What would you call the system? Pattern Mapping maybe? You should try searching the forum to see if anyone else has already thought of this. You don't want to go reinventing the wheel if you don't have to. |
