Do you have any good ideas about how I could've extracted more money? I suppose checking the flop would've been wiser, but what if they just check the turn too?

Yeah you should definitely check that one down and hope someone hits something they think is good.

This isn't stud. I'd make whatever your regular bet is in this situation and hope somebody decides to pay you off with 88 or a flush draw or assumes you are bluffing and plays back. Checking just looks way to fishy and you're not making any money that way.

Agreed I can't be checking here its far too obvious, bet half the pot and hope someone wants to play, you showed strength preflop what good can checking possibly do.

Check and hope a diamond falls on fourth street and somebody bets a big diamond. You know nobody has an ace or a big PP, so you need to let them catch something.

I definately think the right choice is check, check, check and keep checking. This is a Party 10+1 an few are really thinking about what you did pre-flop, much less what you have. You need to hope someone catches something or the hand begins to look like he who bets first wins. If this is on the turn, only call. after the river, raise, but only as much as you think will get called. Depending on the player, and what the board is showing, this might mean going over the top all in or merely making a min raise. You want as much as you can get from as many as will pay you.

ps. you really do not have to worry about a runner runner royal. I suppose it could happen, but come on.

I'd check the flop and the turn. Give the others two chances to bluff at you. Even if you end up betting the river, it looks like a steal and you have your best chance of getting called.

I think it depends on your opponents and what your image is. I think the default move is to check it to the river. Then make an outlandish bet there that looks like a bluff. But it depends as I said. If your opponents are likely to call a bet on the flop with this board, then make a bet. If your image is loosey-goosey then a bet is fine. I usually have a tight image that doesn't bluff much. With this situation I would check and look weak, hoping they hit something later on and will bet into me. I'm not much of a fan for slowplaying, but this one is pretty much the ideal situation.

I disagree.

You know nobody has an ace here, and nobody's going to call without one.

You're not going to get paid by betting. With checking at least there's a chance.
