How to handle bigger stack...?
Hey there.
I'd like to ask a question about how to be aggressive with a larger stack. I typically play in the $5+1 tourneys on Party. So far, I find that in the first hour I can build up my stack 3-4x (t3000-4000). This is usually a large stack,if not the largest,at my table. I typically play tight and win 2-3 big hands to get there. (I'm probably weak-tight since I'm fairly new and scared to get too aggressive) What typically happens is that in the second hour, the tables converge and people catch up to my stack. There's usually a larger stack that joins and I'm awed by the agressive control they exert. They bet people out of pots and force me (and the table) into super tight mode because they always make it so expensive to join in. When I try this I'm usually called down and lose.... Could somebody either post advice about this kind of large stack control or post a hand history where they exercised this kind of control? I'm more than willing to go trough the history and do the work, but I'd really love to see it from the large stack perspective and not my timid, ever shrinking stack perspective. Thank you, Proto |

Re: How to handle bigger stack...?
Watch a fellow by the name of Greg Raymer on ESPN starting tonight for the next couple weeks. I hear this is a text book lesson on weilding the big stack.

Thank you...I would have missed that. I didn't even know it was on.
Raymer really did wield his stack and I hope to see some more play like it. Are you sure it wasn't those glasses, though...? LOL That was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Proto |
