Those aren't its major competitors. But having been to the Borgata and the Taj, I agree; Borgata outkicks Taj by a mile. Oh sweet Borgata; how I long to see your shiny curves again. Mmmmmm Borgata.

From what I know the Trop games tend to be on the LA side and the Borg' games are on the LP side. So from that perspective it's a personal choice.

However, you get treated better at the Borg', it's much, much nicer and the Borg' girls can't be beat, so it's easy for me.

Is there a place with an abbreviation definitions that are used here? I've seen the one at this site but it's incomplete. I've figured out most of them but not all. For example, what does the G in LAG stand for? What is CO?

I stay at Ballys when I hit AC and don't even step foot into the poker room, your correct it's horrible. I prefer the Taj myself, maybe it's just because I have had alot of success playing there but I enjoy that poker room everytime I visit.

For those who posted that the "Borg girls cannot be beat" I thank you. That's enough for me. I give a rats behind on the room rates; I'm going to play poker and the eye candy is important. Many thanks.

IMO the Taj has recovered a lot of the ground it had lost to the Borgata. And the Borgata has slipped a bit this year. The Borg is more comfortable but the Taj has far better game selection. The management of the poker room is about equal.

Why don't you like to play hold em at the Trop?

The Trop spreads the infamous "pink" ($7.50-$15.00) as their biggest game. That games attracts a lot of maniacs that I would prefer not to play against.

If you are going to play 10/20 or 20/40 - you can play at either Taj or Borgata.

If you play 8 hours on the weekend the Borgata will give you a room for 149 or 159. I think the comps are better at the Borg. I think its $2 per hour at 10/20 - you can only make a reservation for the poker room rate if you already have 4hrs of play on your card - I assume you dont - but playing for 8 hrs get around this. During the week its much lower.

Everyone talks about the Borg girls - but frankly I would make the selection based on games. You can always go to a club if you want.

If playing on the weekend get there early the wait sucks.

I found the players better at the borg than the Taj (much fishier at Taj). but i moved down to 5/10 at the Taj. Makes sense - I like the Taj but the place is a bit of a dump right now. Anyone with half a brain would go over to the Borg - much more upscale group.
