Default weak tight turns?

I am still making major adjustments to my game but I am not sure if I played these turns too passively. These might be obvious hands but I am trying to look at every possible hand so that I don't miss something.

Hand 1
-------------------
PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero raises, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: (8.40 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, CO raises, Button folds, BB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.20 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.

River: (8.20 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10.20 BB

Hand 2
------------------
PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (10 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP3 bets, Hero raises, Button calls, SB folds, BB folds, MP3 3-bets, Hero calls, Button calls.

Turn: (9.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)

3-bet hand #1 on the flop and then lead the rest of the way. If he caps then bet into him on the turn.

In hand #2 you should either cap the flop or raise the turn.

You give your opponents too much respect too soon.

hand one: 3-bet flop, lead turn, call down if raised

hand two: smooth call the flop and raise turn, or just cap the flop

What do you mean "smooth call?"

and you are correct kenewbie, I DO give too much respect to players. I am trying to fix that.

Turns out that the guys on Hand one turned over Q8o which I didn't really understand.

Hand 2, guy turns over KJ for the boat.

If they reraise then you are usually beat.

1. 3 bet if he caps he probably has a 3 and you can call the rest of the way.

2. You played it right.

[/ QUOTE ]

a "smooth call" is when you call thinking you have the best hand. Usually to put a raise in later or because you want overcallers (people behind you that will call 1 bet but fold if its two to them).

Nothing to worry about. Just hang around here for a while and you will be ridiculed to a point where you feel like autoraising with anything.

Seriously, the agression comes with experience.
