NL rebuys

I plan to play NL/PL @ Party($25/$50 buy-in)and am getting the impression from reading these posts that winning and losing players have to restack frequently.
Q. Is this an accepted part of the landscape and are there any numbers to clarify the situation for a beginner such as myself.
