Actually, I was just checking my atlas, and from where I'll be staying it's just a stone's throw to an expressway that shoots me directly onto 95 and then that's it, a straight shot all the way. I'm now reconsidering b/c the drive does look to be idiot-proof (good for me) and yeah, I'm already way north in Queens. I would be leaving around 8:00-8:30, just like you mentioned, so maybe I'll do Foxwoods after all. Everyone's biggest complaint did seem to be the crowds/waits, but also the consensus was it's okay in the morning.

Again, wherever I wind up, thanks to everyone who chimed in. If anyone is at the Taj, Borgata or Foxwoods Sunday and sees a guy who gets mistaken about a dozen times a day for Anthony Edwards ("Hey, you look just like that guy on ER!"), stop by and say 'hello.'

George

One reason I prefer Foxwoods to AC is that Foxwoods deals a 5/10 game with a full kill. Anytime a pot goes over $100, the next hand dealt is $10-20 and it will stay 10-20 until the pot is under $100 again.

This is a good game for me. I don't think I am ready at least from a bankroll standpoint to really engage in $10-$20 full time but the 5/10 game with Kill suits me perfect.

You are right, Foxwoods does have better games. However, it didn't seem like he had 8 hours to waste waiting for a game (yes, that is an exaggeration, but not a big one! ). I'm sure if he heads to the Borg or the Taj, he'll get into a game fairly quickly.

Edit: Does anyone know if they spread a 5-10 game in AC? I know the 5-10/kill is a regular at FW, but I never can find a 4-8 in AC. 4-8 is what I regularly play at FW. I think the Taj might spread 5-10 but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm?

Sorry, I forgot about that game.

From what I can remember:

Taj: 2-4, 3-6, then I think it jumps to 6-12
Borg: 2-4, 3-6, 6-12
Trop: 2-4, 4-8, pink chip

Is there anything else before 10-20 or 15-30?

Thanks edtost and Moose.

I'll actually be at the Taj in 2 weeks for a little R&P (rest and poker). I've always played in the 3-6 there, but never the 5-10; basically because I never checked to see if they spread 5-10.

Thanks again for the info.

I'd reccomend the 6/12 at the borg. I've never played the 5/10 at the taj which a lot of people have mentoined, but the 6/12 at the borg was probably the best game I ever sat in.

Its gonna be tough for me. This is a family trip (wife and 1 year old daughter). We mainly booked the Taj for 2 reasons:

1) $29/night! I have no idea how. We got a postcard, called, and booked!

2) The beach/Steel Pier are right there for the little one as opposed to the Borg.

Although I will admit, the Borg is 10,000 times nicer!
