Hilger ITM: good players expect 1 BB/hr??
In Internet Texas Holdem the author claims that a good player can expect to make, over time, about 1BB/hour. Isn't this pretty conservative? He also doesn't seem to differentiate between different limits: whether he's right or wrong, say, about 10/20, wouldn't you expect a very different figure to hold for .50/1? What's the consensus out there on this?

Re: Hilger ITM: good players expect 1 BB/hr??
This is way too conservative. 1BB/hour is probably correct for B&M games around 40/80 or so. You see about 35 hands an hour.
Online while play 3/6 and seeing 55 hands an hour you should make more BBs/hour. Mason has a more detailed chart of BB/hour at various limits in one of his Poker Essay books. |

It depends on how good you are and how good your game selection is. If you are an excellent player or an expert you can certainly make more than that, but if you are good that might be about right. |

Re: Hilger ITM: good players expect 1 BB/hr??
This also ignores the effects of multi-tabling (from what I remember, the author has insufficient coverage of multi-tabling). For example, a player who 4-tables $0.5-1 may only make 2 BB/hr/table whereas he would be able to achieve 3 BB/hr on one table. However the additional tables more than make up for this.
