I need more aggression, right?
I believe I need to work on my aggression, on the flop in this case. I don't have any good reads.
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 3 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB calls, 1 fold, Flop: (7 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets, UTG+1 raises, Hero calls, SB 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, Hero calls, SB calls. Re: I need more aggression, right?
This is a MUST raise preflop, on the flop, the turn, and river.

Re: I need more aggression, right?
either raise or fold preflop. then, if you played the flop like you, you should raise the turn

Re: I need more aggression, right?
You, sir, would have just earned the note "calling station" in my book.
But at least you know you need to be more aggressive. On every street! |

Re: I need more aggression, right?
I do this...
Pre-Flop: Raise Flop: Raise call down from there if SB caps. Regardless of the results, I don't think continuing to raise on the river and turn is a good advice. SB has shown impressive strength from the flop on..you have to put him on a set but still call down. I know I love it when I have set and people are doing the raising for me with their TPTK. If he's bluffing, it is a perfect situation, that's how you make your money, not giving money away to people with made hands by continually betting into them every time you've made TPTK. And of course this all goes with your "no reads, comment" |

Re: I need more aggression, right?
Um... wouldn't Hero be 3-betting the flop himself?

Re: I need more aggression, right?
I don't disagree with the other respondees.....
You may wonder whether the pot would really have been any bigger. ie. If Hero had bet aggressively the others may have slowed down and Hero might have won a smaller pot. But this misses the point. While Hero's hand is strong it is not a dead cert. to win yet. He needs to jam the betting to protect it. |

Regardless, he needs to put more money in because HE HAS THE BEST HAND, and it's likely to stay that way. You like money, right? Bet. Rob |
