I had the same problem when I opened my Neteller account, so I just opened the account in one of my parents names, and it's been fine since.

I had to go get the SS form and scan/e-mail it in for neteller to work. It's really not that hard and worth the trouble. I did the whole thing in a few hours and my account was ready the next day.

Neteller can't seem to be able to verify my SSN. They want me to fax them a copy of a form or something of that nature. Anyone else us a method of managing their online money other than Neteller and find it just as reliable and fast? Or is Neteller worth the trouble of providing them with documentation, which would require a visit to my "local Social Security Office."

This usually happens when people have no credit at all. No credit is certainly better than bad credit, but you have to start somewhere. Get the form and use Neteller.

If you have past credit, they should be able to verify your number.

You might be able to save yourself the trip and get the form you need from the SSA website. They have a section for forms. www.socialsecurity.gov

I looked on their site last night soon after I posted the first message, but to no avail. I'll keep looking, but if anyone has found away to obtain a SSN validation type form, please let me know. It'll save me an hour drive both ways.

I faxed NETeller the SS form a week ago, today being Wednesday, and they sent me an email a couple days later saying that they were forwarding it to the proper department. I've read NETeller's support is top notch, but a week?! I'd kinda like to start playing sometime in NEAR future. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think NeTeller is really slammed with new business and are having trouble keeping up, then the server downtime today hasn't helped either. I'm hoping to say "patience, patience" will help, but I surely understand - I've been waiting for different kind of support service from them too and it's taking *way* *too* *long*. Soon, methinks.
