When do I need to change gears with a big stack?
In a 670-entry $20+2 multi table NL on stars, I got out to a very large stack rather early (not due to lucky catches either, which makes me feel much better about my play, just squeezed a lot of money out of some idiots with tight play.
Question is when do I need to start stealing blinds? I played very cautiously through the middle rounds, got into the money with about 25k chips (top 63 pay, chipleaders around 45k, I was around 10th-15th varyingly). I'm still playing actually. With blinds getting up there can I still afford to play tight and pick my spots or should I take some chances and steal blinds? People are playing very loose preflop. |

Whe your legitimate raises and reraise aren't getting action, try putting in some looser ones. If you are getting called or reraised, it isn't time yet.
