Its in the eyes.
are there any common eye movements to look for that one can use to help determin if a person is bluffing or confident?
For example, down and to the right vs down and to the left type things? Thanks Foo |

Re: Its in the eyes.
I always heard the brown eyes would be bluffing ....
Seriously though, if you look into NLP, you'll find all kinds of information on eye cues and tells. Plus Mike Caro has plenty to say on eye tells. hth, /M |

Re: Its in the eyes.
I don't have much experience playing in live games, but I've always thought that when your opponent is hemming and hawing while making a decision, watch to see if he looks at your stack. Him looking at your stack is basically him saying, "look what I'll have in my stack if he calls this bet I'm about to make."
Notice this in yourself when you've got the nuts and you're playing like you don't know whether or not to bet. You tend to look at their stack because in your mind, it'll soon be your stack. |

NLP is a big bird ... needs a lot of fuel and runway to take off.

Re: Its in the eyes.
The experienced players sometimes have little eye tells, but it's rare. Among less experienced players eye contact seems to be more important than direction. They sometimes stare right at you when they are betting a light hand and avoid contact when they are strong.
