Snakerat, clearly you don't know what you're talking about. The question may seem incredibly vague and stupid to you because you don't have to worry about freedom and tribal indepenence. In short, you aren't Native American and therefore don't care. While the question is worded vaguely, the issue is important and calling the question stupid is insulting to an entire ethnic group.

America has a terrible track record with regard to Native American tribal sovereignty (independence). We've been flip-flopping if you will, for 200 years through contradictory U.S. Supreme Court rulings and various state entities.

Which part of my post says anything about an ethnic group? The QUESTION is stupid.

I clearly stated the reason the question is stupid, and it has nothing to do with the subject matter.
He should ask have asked about specific sovereignty issues, not "how do we resolve the conflicts?"

It is strange to assume I am not Native American and then further assume, that BECAUSE I am not a Native American I therefore do no care about Native American issues. It is strange in a ignorant blinded by righteousness sort of way.

That bush is a smart guy

just the sort of bloke I want leading the free world

Could be worse. You could have that Blair guy like us. No opinions of his own........just follow the crowd and see where it leads you!!!!!!!

I hope you're not laboring under the misconception that Mr. Bush is some kind of maverick.
Even it were so, I'd still rather live under a wily wit than under a stubborn nit.

Howard is a knob

but Clinton is a smart and elequent individual,

I never thought much of him after the monica thing, but hearing him speak in several interviews lately, I have changed my mind.

He is a very intelligent, articulate man, who has a good grip on world politics and reality.

he is not afraid to speak with a tele prompt

I really didn't understand the question either--I also thought it was vague. If Bush had clout in public speaking, he would have asked that journalist to rephrase/clarify the question. Yeah, Bush buckled in his answer, as he usually does when trying to articulate his points, but I thought the answer he gave, while sounding stupid, was fair given the nature of the question.

Yes, Clinton has phenomenal public speaking skills and feels totally at ease when articulating his points. As a result, he's considered an effective public speaker.

bwahaha, Bush gave a dumb answer.
OK, what do you want the guy to say there?

I ask the orignal poster to answer the same question.

[/ QUOTE ]

If Bush is going to keep using slogans like rogue states, soverign people, and axis of evil he should be able to say what they mean.

All Bush had to answer was "It means recognized rightful owners."

Lazy did you really think that was tough to come up with?
