I hit a club royal flush on my Wilson simulator while doing the "Challenge Mike" with an average/aggressive lineup. First time that has happened in the year that I have been using Wilson.
The simulator has been well worth the investment. I have tightened up my low-limit game, and have finished positive on my last four outings. These were in the California rooms of Golden West casino in Bakersfield, and Commerce Casino in L.A. Cheers, Mike |

I agree with your investment advice. For small-stakes players, I personally think this software lays a solid foundation for tight-aggressive play.
I'm greatful that most players are too cheap to pay the $100 price tag. While I don't track BB/hr - I credit this software for allowing me to walk away winning from live games 8 out of 10 times. Maybe the moderators of this BB will help Wilson develop other versions using their meithods and tactics. |

I also coupled the use of the simulator with the strategy/tactics in Lee Jones' book. I am now a positive cash flow player. It's fun to track one's winnings & losses with a spreadsheet, especially when one starts climbing out of the hole .
What I have learned is that most of the low-limit players actually expect to lose, but they do get an enjoyable high out of the large swings in their chip counts before they bust out. I will move into mid-limits later on. Right now I do 1-2, 2-4, 3-6, and 4-8. 3-6 seems to be the level I like the best. I also have the simulator for 7C-Stud, and it has improved my game as well. I do find the 7C-Stud players to be more adept than the holdem players, mostly because holdem has a lot of new folks. Cheers, Mike |

Last week I was in the Golden West casino in Bakersfield. The game was holdem. This table was loose/agressive. I was seeing pots won with a pair of deuces and dumb stuff like that. These guys were all over the page. Big swings in chip counts, lots of hooting & hollering, and busting out. I had seen this type of behavior with the loose/agressive lineup on my Wilson.
I sat down with $50 dollars worth of chips. First hand I played I folded after the flop, just after I got wind of how loose/aggressive these guys were. Next played hand I had AQo. The flop comes with Q and low cards that were spread. I now have a split pair Q with an Ace kicker. One bet in front of me, I raise. The other callers fold except the one who called the bet. It's now heads up. Turn and river also fall as low cards. I call on the turn and raise on the river. He calls and says "if you have two pair, you beat me". He had a Q and a 7 kicker. I answered, "nope, I'm going to out kick you". I knew he had a Q and a lower kicker. Out of about 30 hands dealt, I only played two. The game got even looser, so I left. The other players glared at me, because the only other guys leaving the game were those that busted out. I was in with $50 and out with $74. That's a 48% return on my investment! And that's better than the stock market Good training from Wilson and from Lee Jones. Cheers, Mike |
