Default Cheating Gaffs

Since I've been stung by a cheating ring, I have been fixated on the whole idea. I've bought movies, visited magicians and in a very short time learned a few moves to stack the deck and false shuffle. I am no way remotely an expert, but I was wondering if Cheating should be added to the list of topics in the forum. Can you take the time to reply so we can get an idea if it shuld be added. Thanks

Not sure I like the idea of a central location to get all of your cheating tips. There are sites out there already I think that do that.

Why would we all want to have a section to post material that ruins the very game this site is about?

far too easy for people to get cheating tips from a how to prevent cheaters type of forum for it to be viable. there is plenty of information out there for those interested to learn, and most of it is overly expensive for a reason.

Of course I'm serious, it's not like I telling people that cheating is the way the game should be played, I'm suggesting a thread so people to dicuss how they cheated and what to look for. I guess I never took the time to search the web looking for crooked moves.

So umm... you're saying you've been practicing cheating? You're from Boston, right? Where do you play? I'll make sure to stay away.

I think it's a great idea to start a section on cheating.

Why not make the information as easily available as possible? This makes it MORE difficult for the would-be cheat, since there's a greater chance another player in the game will know how to detect his crooked moves and how to take precautions against them.

Besides describing cheating moves, such a forum could also be used for players to relate suspicious incidents that have happened in their games, and get feedback on the likelihood that cheating was involved.

I highly recommend the book "Gambling Scams", by Darwin Ortiz, for anyone interested in learning how to protect themselves from cheating. It's very well written and includes some illustrations.

I agree iceblink, if I had know what to look for I would have never fallen for the peeks and false shuffles. The info from Ortiz is great, the video is amazing since you can see how easy it is to pull a few moves.

I play 4 times a month twcie at my home and I never ever cheat. I like the game to much and the challege of winning straight up far surpasses the thrill of cheating. If I ever got caught doing it to my friends or coworkers I would be so screwed so it's totally not worth it. I just want revenge on the game that got me.
