Re: 1/2 flush hand
Definitely think it's worth calling $55 to win $141 here, especially since the river made a 4-straight and he could be bluffing figuring that you have to fold any non-straight /non-flush. If he called UTG with Kxs or Jxs then you have to pay him off.
I think a reraise is very dangerous in this situation. You could get called by a worse flush (or even a straight if this guy is really bad) but you could also be put all-in by a better flush. If this is the type of guy that would limp something like K6s I'd probably just call. If he's a little tighter than that I reraise the river. |

Re: 1/2 flush hand
I'd say nice hand to his KhJh and reload.
Tough one to get away from. Unless you have some kind of a special read on this player that is. What is he limping with UTG that he calls a potish bet on the turn and raises a potish bet on the river. I cant imagin him having a 2 for the straight....and if he does have it, why raise? With the flush possibility...especially raising to $85. The only reason I can put him on smaller flush is I just cant imagine what he'd limp with. JW |

Re: 1/2 flush hand
Check the river. You are out of position against another likely flush. To the other player, it looks like you might not have the flush with your check. So, if he has the nut flush he likely not to set you in thus saving you a bundle.
But, if you bet the river, you tell him that you have a flush and now he can swing away. You are out of position with a non-nut flush against another likely flush. Tread carefully. Also, if he does not have a flush and you check the river, he might bluff at the pot whereas he would fold to the lead bet. When he sets me in with the river reraise I would fold. You have fired twice now screaming you have the flush and he is telling you he can beat it. No way he is bluffing here. You might win with a call here only 1 in 20 times. |

My opponent showed K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for the nut flush.

Re: 1/2 flush hand
dont ever check the river
but underbet it. you are hoping to draw in 1 pairs, ect. overbetting is piontless. plus when you bet smaller, calling a raise wont be so expensive. |
