quick question with top pair
live 3-6 game.
I have 200 wich is the max buy in (weird i know) 2 limpers, I make it 30 form the button with AcQc, both blinds and limpers call. flop: Ad 10c 7d tight passive lady from the bb with about 400 makes it forty, one limper calls. I figure I have a short stack, so I put my chips in the middle. But my question is really this: Say I had more like 4-500 raising and folding to a re-raise, or folding if I get checkraised on the turn (assuming I dont catch a queen) seems like the better play. Would that be the correct way to play this situation against a regular opponent? |

Would that be the correct way to play this situation against a regular opponent? [/ QUOTE ] General rule of thumb is, "pushing TPTK/TPGK typically takes down smaller pots and loses big ones." But stack sizes are an important factor to consider, as well. Most players are forced to push with smaller stacks, but those with bigger ones (> 150xBB) tend to play TPTK/TPGK more passively and go into check-call mode if they meet resistance on the flop. |

Re: quick question with top pair
You would always fold top pair on the button when someone bets $40 into a $150 pot?
