You can definitely find them under $800 shipped on Ebay. I got mine on Ebay and had no problems with a warranty replacement...just make sure you're buying from someone reputable.

I'm looking at buying this monitor too. Just wondering if you got it straight from Dell, or you were able to get a discount somewhere else? Looking at their site it is almost $900. Thanks.

Just wait til they have a deal. You will be able to get it for 750-800 shipped. They have them once or twice per month.

I have 2 of the things and LOVE em.

If you want one really cheap, you can just order a new computer system from Dell online and have them screw up your order and ship you 19's, and then have to return those along with your whole system and reorder, only to have them ship you the wrong computer system AGAIN! Then you'll be able to get both of your 2001fp's free if you spend enough time chewing people out over the phone and going through enough levels of supervisors. Oh, but wait, that would SUCK!

Dealing with Dell customer "service", no thanks, I've tried that in the past. I'd probably rather pay $900 than spend the time and aggravation trying to actually get something accomplished on the phone with one of their people. That's assuming you actually get to talk to a real person.

Are you using the DVI cable? If you're using the analog D-sub cable, this could be the issue.

Sh!t, more serious problem. Turned it on this morning and it doesn't work at all. I can get no picture whatsoever, if I turn it off and on the Dell logo flashes and the picture goes blank again. Any suggestions?

Make sure that the Input Selection (leftmost button) matches your video signal input:
1 = D-Sub
2 = DVI-D

You can also try to "Reset to Factory Settings - All Settings" from the Menu button (2nd from the left).
