Final Pot: 16 BB

Raising the river OK? I'd imagine not, seeing as though he'd only been calling the whole way...

Sure looks like bad news to me, I'd call it down expecting to see two pair. You could even fold given a solid read on SB. Raising only makes sense if you can see this player betting into you after youve led the whole way with something like a pair of 5s, its much more likely that your beat.

Raising hte river is horrible here, for two very important reasons

1) since SB comes to life on the river you may be beat, so if you raise you invite getting 3-bet

2) if you raise, you knock out potential overcalls in case you are ahead.

combine 1 and 2, its a case of losing the least and winning the most

This seems like a classic overcall situation. Heads up, raising would be close but I would tend to avoid doing it against most non-aggressive players.

It was a combination of reflexes and a refusal to believe my AK had just got killed by someone with K5 or Q5. And lack of sleep. Meh. I knew it was bad as soon as I did it. I'm surprised he called me down..

Hey Gatts,
When sb leads into you on the river, at these limits I would expect to be shown 2pr at the least, possibly 69. I'm just calling the river.

Default Bump

You guys are missing the point in this hand:

Even if hero KNOWS he still has the SB beat, it is still incorrect to raise here. It's a call to induce overcall situations with several players still left to act behind. Doesn't matter if you're ahead or behind.

This is a good point.

FWIW, SB turned over Q5 and I cried, then threw some things, then cried while throwing some things.
