Only bet on the river if you are SURE that you have the best hand.

On this board there is a flush possibility, and a possible pair of kings or aces out there.

By betting the river in this hand, you are going to have one of three outcomes... 1) You get called by a player who possibly has your hand well and truly beaten, or 2) you get check raised by a player who has your hand beat, or 3) your opponent, who has a lesser hand than you, folds their hand because the board has scared the bejeezes out of them.

Whatever the outcome, betting the river, most probably, will not earn you any more money, and by checking the river, you may have potentially saved one bet...

... the river check is fine...
