I was almost certainly going to ditch to another spade. My thoughts were A10-AQ with a high card in the 3 suit on board.

What do you guys think?

Based on his rather sizeable bet on the River, I think you might be beat here. Not to mention that he did raise preflop. I'm guessing AK, KQ, or even KJ, probably with a spade in there for good measure.

Hopefully it turned out well for you.

Not to be harsh, but if you won this hand you're one lucky bastid. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I probably fold this pre-flop. If not then, then DEFINITELY on the flop. Hands like K8 suited need to be laid down most of the time even when you hit your K -- it's the flush draw that you're going for with these hands, as well as a lucky 2 pair. If you see 3 spades on the flop and get bet into, I'm thinking of 4 hands that have me beat -- AA, a set, a flush, or possibly K-higher kicker. AA and K-high kicker also might have a spade, so you also might get a flush hitting you by the end of this hand.
