With the variety of micro-brews out now, why drink any mass produced, beer flavored water?

[/ QUOTE ]

'Cos it's g00t, and you can drink about twelve of 'em without vomiting or putting a dent in your roll.

If I'm having a beer, I like Sierra Nevada or Steel Rail Pale Ale or something else tasty. If I'm drinking, it's all about PBR dollar drafts at the bowling alley!

Miller Lite is the best beer ever made!

[/ QUOTE ]

Q. Why is Miller Lite like making love on the beach?

A. Because it is f***ing near water.

My favorite beer is Killians Irish Red. I don't know what's in it, but the stuff tastes like candy.
And Jurollo, if you think Sam Adams Summer Ale is good, just wait until Sam Adams Oktoberfest, delicious.

As for Corona, I've always found that beer to be a bit... um. GAY. I don't trust any beer that you have to stick fruit in to drink it. There are far better Mexican beers, Dos Exuis for example.

I really don't like Heineken either, I still can't figure out what the big deal is over that Euro crap.

Who wants a beer that tastes like candy? Oh, never mind, fruitcake.

And after you have had a heineken DARK - you will know whether a beer is going to knock you on your ass or not from the first sip you drink...

[/ QUOTE ]

Just wanted to add my support for Heineken Dark (it used to be called "Special Dark"... now I think it's actually called something else). Still, a great beer. And I'm a guy who doesn't even like original Heineken.

"Tastes like Candy" comment not meant to be taken literally. It's really more like an analogy.

candy: child
Killians Irish Red: immature, but legally an adult (ie. me)

ps. I realise B-Stein probably doesn't like me, I don't care as I'm drinking Killian's right now.

Sierra Nevada is great. If you go to their brewpub in Chico they have about a dozen other styles of beer that are good too.

But my favorite beer is Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball that comes out but once a year. You don't need a dozen of them to feel the effect. If you have more then 2 (22oz bottles) you'll be in an altered state for a looooong time.

Cheers,
NBB
