Where can I find a used/ off lease laptop?
Does anyone know where I can find a used or off lease laptop or a reputable eBay sellers who sell off lease laptops on wholesale? Its primary use will be for playing poker on the wireless network at my college during breaks in classes. From what I've heard Dell and Toshiba make good laptops, compaq/hq make bad ones, but don't know much about other brands (IBM?). Any suggestions on specific models to buy used? I don't need much speed or storage since it will just be for poker, but would probably like a decent sized screen. Light weight would be nice, but not essential, as long as it isn't a big "clunker". I'd prefer that it is under $500, but any information or recomendations will help in my search. Thanks.
-aesic *I'm currently on my friends Dell Inspiron 5000e with 800mhz and 256mb RAM that is approximately 3 years old and seems like it would be a perfect poker play with its screen size. Anything like it would be perfect. Any info on this specific model? |

Re: Where can I find a used/ off lease laptop?
Look for a laptop with a "UXGA" screen. That means it supports 1600x1200 resolution, which would fit 4 tables with no overlap.
Oh yeah, one word: |

Re: Where can I find a used/ off lease laptop?
I know that 16x12 is the only way to 4-table with no overlap but with a 15" screen I will probably move down the resolution to 1280x1024 anyway, espcially since I usually only have 2 SnG's running at any one time. I'm most interested in knowing about places to buy used laptops and good models for poker.

Re: Where can I find a used/ off lease laptop?
does anyone have experience with buying from overstock.com? they seem to have solid prices on refurbished notebooks.
I'm looking to buy one by the end of the year (so I have tons of time to look). |
