Wacki,
Are the foxwoods and binions chips made by Paulson? Just curious. I have a few Hat and Cane chips from some downtown vegas casinos and compared them to the clay samples I have from pokerchips.com. At first I couldn't tell any difference in weight, but after playing with them a bit, I could tell the casino chips were slightly heavier. If I were buying chips, I don't think the weight would bother me as much, but I would prefer and option on edge spots versus the stock 3-wide spots on pokerchips.com. Do you know of any place where i can see pictures of binions chips, just wondering what they look like since you seem to like them? Thanks.

I don't know about the actual Binions chips, but the WSOP chips are made by B&G (they are the Bud Jones variety)

Who is B & G? also, aren't the Bellagio WPT event chips and the WSOP chips made by the same place?

See website link below. Their chips are cool, but I don't think they sell to non-casinos. They also own Paulson (Hat and Cane clay chips). But I think the BG chips are plastic composite and not clay.

B&G Website

The Foxwoods chips are made by Paul-Son. Although they don't use the traditional H&C mold, there are still a pair of H&Cs in the mold that they do use.

I also bought a few sample low-value chips from the recently re-opened Binion's, and they clearly have the standard Paul-Son H&C mold, but the chips I see on TV being used in the WSOP look more like RTPlastics.

I am fairly sure that they are Bud Jones (also B&G), but I could be wrong.

The foxwoods chips look like ceramic/plastic chips with no edgespots and a sticker ontop and bottom that has the graphics. I never saw a hat & cane on it, or any other indentation other than the words foxwoods.

Here is a pic

The chips are clay. They have a full-sized inlay. And, despite the custom Foxwoods molding, the H&C is there, and semi-visible in your scan (look at the white $1 chip, at the letter F").

Basically, the Foxwoods chips use a custom molding, which as you note, says "Foxwoods" twice around the edge. If you look closely at the space between those two "Foxwoods", you'll see that the H&C logo appears, a total of two times (separated by 180 degrees).

The picture you show clearly shows that the chips do have edge spots, albeit very narrow ones. Take an X-acto knife and dig into one of those spots. You'll see that the color's as deep as you want to dig. It's a standard clay chip color insert. Look at the edge of the chip, at the deformations of the edge spots, consistent with the compression molding used on clay chips.

I picked up 500 casino style #1006 chips from this company www.thepokerchipcompany.com yesterday, Their shop is near where I work. I thought the owner was a real Ahole but the lady working there was very nice and helpful. I was going to walk out without buying because of the owner, but the chips were very good quality and lady helping me was very nice. The price was good also.
