it's strange that all of you find his story unbelievable because it didnt strike me as falsified at all.

El Diablo didn't say he thought it was falsified, did he?

Thanks to the guys that took my posts seriously. I talked to my friend and he said that they don'ttax the money that you lose. So saying that, I took a lot of money down to Vegas and lost a lot at the Blackjack and Craps tables. Stupid me. Does anyone know if this is true or not? And the reason why I don't play hiher limits right now is because I feel I can dominate the 15-30 tables I'm playing at right now. I might take a couple grand and give 30-60 a try but I feel that I might be to intimidated and I don't know if I really have the bankroll to do that.

Just now I sat down at a 15/30 on Party and got JJ in my BB followed by AA in my SB. Those 2 pots combined put me up over $350. 12BB in 3 minutes equates to 240BB/hr so I was thinking about quitting my day job and playing poker making $57,600 for an 8 hour day.

I plan on retireing(sp?) a millionaire in less than 3 weeks. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Ok, so it's been another 3 minutes now and I've gone completely cold-decked and haven't even played my last 3 hands. Now I'm only averaging $28,800/day and I can't reitre for over a month. Bummer.

This is rediculous. I called an EP raiser with T5o and the flop came 56T. I slowplayed by only calling his bet. Turn came an A. I still just called his bet. River brought another 5 and we capped it and he shows pocket Aces. I can't stand these fish that play here because they're always sucking out on me.

I'm only up 5BB's now after 8 minutes. This is only $1125/hr and now I'm looking at almost 4 months of these suckouts before retireing. Poker sucks.

Dude, multi-table the $5k buy-in NL. Bust a couple of guys in your first few hands (say, on 2 of the 3 tables) and boom, that's $10k right there in like 5 minutes. Pretty sweet.

yea man. take it from El D. take it from me. i rack up $10K every day. and so far i am up about $80K for the year. so i might have the highest winrate here, but i am not sure...

Default Either way

Gambling is tax-free, but playing poker for a living isn't.

A source close to me claims if you play poker (or any game with potential skill-based income) for a living (i.e. your main source of income) the money is taxable.

Be sure that you comped for dropping 40 grand at the BJ & craps tables. A free room, with a escort waiting inside, isn't out of the question.
