you sly dog. limping utg with 33 when you know it's the best hand, only to limp-cap and flop quads.

I second Stripsqueez's suggestion. The flop must be bet.

I do too. Seriously, the way this hand went down, I was just incredibly confused after the pre-flop action. This table had been super loose and pretty passive pre-flop, so I thought a limp would be fine and lead me to a multi-way flop for one or at most two bets. By the time the smoke cleared, I had no idea what had happened. Of course, I was playing 4 tables, too. When I came back and saw this flop I think I was just in shock and didn't really think very clearly about how best to proceed.

I agree too. I used to check the flop when I hit quads, but now I always bet it. I'm happy just to pick up the pot right there when everyone folds.

Nice hand.
On the few occasions I have hit four of a kind, there was nowhere near an 18BB pot at the end. More likely I have bet the flop and won the small pot right there. I did lose a bundle holding AQ when the flop came QQ6 and a 6 hit on the turn. Another player (with AQ too!) and I capped all streets along with a third player who made quad 6's. This third player was not very good (but really lucky on this hand!), and I just figured he had some crappy single 6 like he had been playing all night.
Too bad nobody else in your hand made a flush or a boat - you could have cleaned up.
