UTG folds, Hero raises, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: (6.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, BB folds, Hero calls. I'm not sure how to calculate my outs here, I called because I hadn't been getting many playable cards, but I didn't know what I was doing. Turn: (5.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero folds. OK, can't get a straight or flush. Not sure A or K will help. I get out. |

![]() [ QUOTE ] No reads. Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (7 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A, K. UTG folds, Hero raises, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: (6.50 SB) 8, T, 6 (3 players) BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 raises, BB folds, Hero calls. I'm not sure how to calculate my outs here, I called because I hadn't been getting many playable cards, but I didn't know what I was doing. [/ QUOTE ] You are getting 11.5 to 1 here if I calculate correctly. So no problem taking one off for the turn since you have outs to top pair plus runner runner draw as well. [ QUOTE ] Turn: (5.25 BB) 9 (2 players) Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero folds. OK, can't get a straight or flush. Not sure A or K will help. I get out. [/ QUOTE ] This is a close call. I am probably folding. This would be a great situation to have a better read on MP2 so you have a better idea of the hands he could be holding. My honest opinion right now is that you are probably beaten. I would be curious to see what he had but I would probably shitcan this one. Some might call me weak for this. But lets say I do call and an A or K comes? Then I bet out..am I going to fold if I get raised or am I going to call, knowing that I am likely beaten? Either way I have wasted at least 2BB for no real reason in a small pot.. I thought this was a good post though. Interested to see how others think here. Chris |

I fold after the raise. I think it is smart to bet out to have him maybe put you on high-pair, but after a raise from him you must fold.
He saw your PF raise and clearly thinks he has you beaten. You for sure have the worst hand post-flop. Putting more money in is a mistake. You were smart in not calling to the river. |

I think a fold in the turn is good.

He could easily be betting his flush draw, and you are AHEAD currently. I'll play a flush draw like this heads up because of the folding equity you can gain. *edit* With that said he's put you in a lose/lose situation and you have to fold on the turn. I used to call this, the pot isn't big enough to justify it. You have 4ish out's (adjusted for the times when he is betting something like a set or 2 pair, and then the K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] scares the [censored] out of you) I'd say so you need 10.5 to 1 for a call... you have no where near that. This isn't a profitable call.

I think your play here is my preferred line.
