i would smooth call here. if BB then comes over the top, easy fold. if you see the flop, you can push the envelope a bit with your good position.
pushing all-in preflop is wrong because a)if you get called, you will either be dominated or be slightly behind and having to draw out, and b)because you completely give up an important positional advantage. if in some bizarre instance where you get called by AJ or KQ, you still put yourself at risk of being drawn out on by a much worse player whom you have a significant long term advantage over. cheers! |
