Default music while playing

When you play online, do you listen to music? I stayed up tonight playing poker, and I decided to toss on the headphones. I certainly didn't play worse, and I think in a way it helped me. I never felt like I had to play a marginal hand. I was listening to music. A couple of times, if I had a tough decision, I'm not sure if the music helped me focus and make the right one, or what.

Maybe I'm nuts. Does music help any of you focus on poker?

I like to use yahoo's internet music program (launchcast) playing in the background when playing online. Don't really think it helps or hurts, just enjoyment. Never used headphones in a live game though, much more going on in a live game that you could miss with the headphones (player comments or something visual that you miss because you are distracted).
Have to have it for internet play though.

j.k.

I've usually got some stuff from my mp3 library or a stream of ambient techno or old-school reggae.

I dont multi task well. As a consequence I have found "music" to help my game but "lyrics" to distract me from it.

Is it only me who tend to get distracted when listening to music while playing poker on internet. When I play a good song I start to dig and follow the lyrics in my head. This is of course only true when I'm not involved in a hand. Therefor I miss some of my oponents' PF srategy and betting patterns. I don't know how much it affects my play though.

One of the rules I've set for myself is that I must listen to music while I play and not do other things like watch TV or websurf. It tends to be that if it's music I enjoy, my focus is much better and I'm less likely to get upset by losses.
