You just spent $1500 on two monitors?

What a bargain hunter you are.

You guys really think dell monitors are that great? Dell doesnt even make them. I could get the same specifications although a better brand from my distributor for around $450

Ok, I'll cancel the order if you show me a definite way to get monitors just as good for 450 each, then I'll send you half the difference. Just as good applies to warranty, dead pixel policy, as well as technical specs like size, resolution, pixel refresh time, etc. Actually, never mind, I was one of the people who voted not to trust you with numbers.

I showed this to my friend and he said

if people could get 20" FPs with those specs for $450, they would be selling like hot cakes on Ebay for $600
Helleuva alot more profitable making $150 per monitor all day than playing Party poker
$150 pot every time a winner

Seems like you have already made up your mind. Hell it's not my money.

Good Luck.

Screw it. I just ordered two using these coupons:

http://www.slickdeals.net/#p4987

$1468.50 delivered.

I already have friends thinking about buying my 191Ts, but if not they will go on eBay.

This will allow me 4 tables on one screen and a full window for web, chat, pokertracker etc, instead of having to use tiny slivers of a window for each.

I have the monitor. It works great. I am really happy with it.
The screendoor is noticeable with certain shades of grey -
specailly if I drag the window onto my crt. Still, its not
bad enough to make me regret the purchase. The only regret I have is not having bought one earlier !

Ok, this shows my lack on knowledge in hardware. What is the huge improvement of these moniters over say a 19" CRT? At $1000+ more than I paid for 2 19" CRT's there must be a difference, but it's hard to imagine there is THAT much difference. I play poker full time, so please spell it out for me.

thanks,
Steve

For me, it is the 25% larger screen area and the substantially smaller footprint.

Neither article mentions noise, that high pitched squeal you can get from CRT monitors.
