Did i play this correct
4 table tournament, $100 buyin. down to the last table(8 people). I have avg stack. UTG with 99.(blinds are 160-320)
MP raises it 320. CO calls, Button calls, BB calls. I call. Button and BB are almost all in. Flop AA9. I decide not to slow play and go all in. MP thinks about it for a while and mucks it. Button goes all in. BB goes all in. Button has A2 and BB has 1010. Do you guys think this is a good all in on my part. Since the button and BB didnt have lot of chips the all in didnt cost me that much more, but still. A didnt put anyone on AA and didnt mind calls from single ace giving them 4 outs on turn and 7 on the river. Anyways turn was another ace and I went from first to last. Jacob |

Re: Did i play this correct
The odds of me not getting all my chips in on this flop are precisely the same as the odds of me deciding to slowplay and everyone checking behind.
The A2 guy hit his 4 outer, and the TT guy hit his 3 outer. I would get my chips in against that any day, cards happen, don't sweat it. |

Re: Did i play this correct
yeah, i'd probably try to trap, and get burned, but pushin here is fine because it may look to some players like you have a pair of 9s
therefore you bring in the pocket tens cause he things he's got the 9s beat, and the guy with the aces isn't goin away most likely either. you got more money into the pot for yourself with the best of it.........and that is the idea. tough break btw. |
