Default Another Vegas question

Gonna take my first trip to Vegas next weekend and I am stoked. Will be getting in Friday night, leaving Sunday afternoon. I'm staying at the Sahara thanks to the excellent 2+2 tip that they have a monorail now.

I need more 2+2 wisdom in terms of recommended places to play:

Recently I've been going to bay area card rooms like Oaks and Lucky chances. I've been able to consistently beat the $6/12 game for about 3 BB/hour and am itching to try $10/20. I have to think that California cardrooms are the flakiest in the country and don't want to get in over my head in Vegas. Given the success rate I've had at $6/12, what are some good poker rooms and limits to try in Vegas?

Thanks!

Annie Duke suggested the low limit games at the Bellagio to me a couple weeks ago but went on to say that there are soft low limit games throughout Vegas. I think you'll do fine where ever, but I'm going to check out the Bellagio when I'm there in December. I also was told that the waiting list there can be long, so call ahead and get on the list as soon as possible.

Wow, I'm in the exact same boat... In fact, I was about to make the same post but then I read this one. I'm going to be making my first vegas trip as well. I've heard of the Bellagio, but I thought it was mainly higher limits. Are there any other places recommended to play? My girlfriend likes to play some table games like Carribean Stud and Pai Gow and I'm sure we'll be on the craps table as well. I'd like to play at the 3/6 - 5/10 range out there. Any suggestions for good cardrooms with those limits and good casinos for the table games and craps?
Also, does anyone have any good vegas tips that might be helpful to a vegas newbie? ie. buffets/places to eat, things to do, shows to see, etc. I'd be very very appreciative of any advice. Thanks!

Just from skimming the boards the last couple month, it appears that the Mirage and Bellagio have the easiest and nicest low limit tables in LV. I think the lowest at the Bellagio is 3/6, and the lowest at the Mirage is 4/8.

WOW! Annie Duke personally told you about the Bellagio?
Gee, I'm impressed! Glad Annie Duke told you about the games at the Bellagio, else how would anyone ever know about them. Gosh, Annie Duke. Didn't realize you were such a big shot. Did she give you the address or directions to the Bellagio too?

According to Annie Duke, who some posters here speak with frequently, the Bellagio is the best place to play.

chazbot-

The $4-8 at the Bellagio was super soft when I was there.
I didnt have the BR then, but plan to play in the $8-16, which I have heard is a great LAG game as well.
That game sounds like the perfect stepping stone for you instead of $10-20.

The mirage has a 6-12 game, which i have heard is good at night, ok in the day.

Let me know how the games are, as I am going in three weeks and will be playing similar limits.

BTW I have heard the Mirage 10-20 games are not the greatest unless its thur-sat nights.

good luck and make sure and give us a trip report!

I would have to consider her a reliable source of poker information, and I do think that others do too. I personally can't recomend a game in Vegas, so I believe stating the source of the information was appropriate. Maybe next time someone I respect hands down information to me, that I'd like to share with someone else, I'll just claim it as my own or say that it came from a "reliable source". I'll leave names out of it just for you.

cardcounter0, you too can talk with her. Just watch her table on UB and once in a while you maybe able to catch her playing. Then you can just type in the chat box and just maybe she'll be able to find some sort of intelligence in whatever you say and respond. Make sure to get permission from your mommy before talking to strangers though.

oh, yeah, I almost forgot to congratulate you on your 488th misinterpreted post. It must take a lot of hard work and dedication to be as big of an idiot and a jerk as you are. I just didn't want you to think we haven't noticed, and wanted to let you know that we all appreciate your struggle to look for the worst possible motivation behind each post and then attempt to flame the writer. It must be exausting. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Yes, I'm sure Annie just loves jerks chatting it up with her when she is playing on UB.

Boy, I know I sure would feel important if Annie Duke would reply to my chat message. Especially if it was about something really cool like easy low-limit games in Vegas.

Because I know that Annie would be spending a lot of time scouting out those low limit games, so I could think of no better source to ask. I mean if Annie Duke isn't the expert on low limit games in Vegas, who is?

Plus I would be able to make multiple posts about how "Annie Duke told me ..." That would prove what a cool guy I was.

Poeple asking the same question get the same answer. Time for you to grow up.

Anyone else get the feeling cardcounter0 gets off on being rude and starting arugements?
