I bought 2+2's split poker book a few days ago and have enjoyed what I've read so far but I have a few questions from other's who've read it or the author(s) or whoever.
The 7-stud and hold'em texts were updated in '99 to reflect changes in the game. Is the split poker book still relevent to today's game? Are there any addendums or new additions planned, or is it one even needed? As always, thanks for any help, TRWIII |

Zee's book is all that you'll ever need to beat all but the toughest games. I do believe that Mason has said in the past that there are no plans to update it. High-low split games haven't changed much over the years. Hold'em most assuredly has.

I am not an Omaha expert, but I play a LOT, I can't see anything new that would be needed, except to expand the unreasonably small PL section and add a NL-section.
I am a newbie, I have TJ Cloutier/Tom McEvoy/Dana Smith's book, I am a little dissapointed in Zee's book, too much of it is Q and A, and not enough on discussing odds. If it is the first book you have though, you will be happy I am sure. One thing I appreciated was the low limit vs high-limit discussion. |

I believe there is more to say about each of these games, that Zee isn't the absolute last word, but it's an excellent book. |
