Re: Online 10-20 hand #3 - 88: skill-tilt or weak play?
preflop: fine. it's 8-handed, so this is "virtually" mp2 in a full game.
flop: standard. overpair, lots of weird outs possible on the turn. turn: god-awful check. you're letting anybody flush/gutshot you for free. this sets up an often bad call on just about any river. |

Why on earth are you checking the turn?

I'd bet the turn every time. Then bet the river assuming you don't get raised.

[/ QUOTE ] thanks. i agree 100%, even after the fact that i know now i was losing on the turn to QQ. one question tho, if it bet, and LP raised or EP EP check-raised, would it be a clear fold at that time? thanks, Kenny |

what to do when raised on the turn, easy fold? [/ QUOTE ] No, it isn't an easy fold. It might not be a fold at all. But that doesn't make checking the turn any better. |

Re: Online 10-20 hand #3 - 88: skill-tilt or weak play?
I'm not sure it'd be a clear fold, but I'd probably fold a majority of the time. If I knew the raiser was overly aggressive (if the raise could be a semi-bluff with a single high heart or a single pair), I'd call it down.

[/ QUOTE ] that's a lot of information to ask for . at the time of the hand, i was more concerned with the button who cold called on the flop. so i was thinking either the flop bettor or cold-caller could have a flush draw, but i was wrong. anyway, i now agree with the consensus that i should have bet the turn. thx =) Kenny |

ALl of you disagree with checking the turn, as do I. But what if there were 5 players to the turn, would you still bet, or check?
