Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
Seriously, everyone here started somewhere and almost all are playing at a higher limit than they started as their rolls increased. People win at low limits consistently. And in 10 days most of us, with the words of NPAEM, will be officially crushing these games.
We joke because every 2 weeks someone posts for the first time asking either your question or with their brilliant new theory about why JJ isn't worth a raise preflop or... |

Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
It sounds if you are frustrated by loose games where many players see the flop and call raises and re-raises with any hand. What you have to realize is that these games are the most profitable type.
In this forum, it is discussed how to squeeze every hand. We try to maximize our profits when when have it good. You should post some hands that you have had trouble with and the forum will deside if you played them well. Welcome to the forum, Joe Tall |

Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
I really think the winning numbers need to be a bit higher than this.
I'm fairly average and over 30k hands am pretty much crushing these games, and winning 5/10 on the few attempts I take on it. |

Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
It took me a long time to understand that these games are the most profitable.
I used to get so frustrated by being sucked out when I was 5:1 favorite, now I just smile and take a note. |

1. Are LL games beatable? 2. Raise JJ? 3. Raise AJ? 4. I raised for a free card and got 3-bet. Now what? 5. He caught his 300 to 1 shot runner-runner perfect cards to outdraw me. How can I get him to fold on the flop? I don't want ridiculous longshots to call. [/ QUOTE ] You forgot a few... 6. Call this river getting 96:1 ??? 7. I cashed in on Party for $50 and went broke at 2/4...time to throw in the towel? 8. Should I raise [insert premium hand] out of the blinds? (oops...I think I asked that last week). one more: 9. HU and the river brought the 3rd flush card and I only have top set...bet???? |

Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
Under the "summary" tab of poker tracker, I have 41% of players I've played against being overall winners and 59% being losers. This is after 50k hands at 1/2-3/6. Can any conclusions be drawn from this?
I guess the "loser" figure would be a little high considering they all played against ME. |

Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
very clever. i see ur point. so, basically just be happy to be on the plus side.......right?!!!
that's not what I was getting at. I think if you're making less than 1BB/100 hands at these stakes (in the goddamn long run, people), your game has some big holes. Nonetheless, words mean things. Profitable is objective. Worthwhile is subjective. You can argue whether you can earn enough at the micros to make it worthwhile for you. But it is clear that many players can be profitable. |
