Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
Well, i'm new to this post and was just wondering what players thought. i've heard from some people its not profitable to play at these limits and others say it is profitable. i'm not complaining about the players in these games or bad outcomes on hands, i just want to know any estimates people may have and if they feel these limits can be profitable. We'll define profitable as +$10/hr.

The actual definition of profitable is > $0/hr. Do you see why? |

Nope, I wouldn't be happy making $1 per hour playing 4 simultaneous tables of $2/4 on Party. Profitable is profitable, but whether it's worthy of your time is quite another.

Kind of...not really...
He was just correcting your use of the word "profitable." It's very possible to make more than $10 an hour playing 4/8 an under, and many here do it. |

that's not what I was getting at. I think if you're making less than 1BB/100 hands at these stakes (in the goddamn long run, people), your game has some big holes. Nonetheless, words mean things. Profitable is objective. Worthwhile is subjective. You can argue whether you can earn enough at the micros to make it worthwhile for you. But it is clear that many players can be profitable. |

Re: How many people actually win? Without Lying!!
Seriously, everyone here started somewhere and almost all are playing at a higher limit than they started as their rolls increased. People win at low limits consistently. And in 10 days most of us, with the words of NPAEM, will be officially crushing these games.
We joke because every 2 weeks someone posts for the first time asking either your question or with their brilliant new theory about why JJ isn't worth a raise preflop or... |
