Non-USD neteller account question?
Is there any point in having a neteller account in Euros or Pounds? The exchange rates are horrible! Lets say you want to empty your UB account and switch to Party. You withdraw 1035 dollars from UB to a euro neteller account, you end up with 839 euros. Then on your account page there is the "estimated balance section" in differant currencies. In USD the equivilant balance is 997. This is the amount that you can transfer to Party. Differance 38 bucks. Nice hidden fee and you can't find Netellers exchange rates anywhere on their site. If you have a USD neteller account there are no fees for poker site to poker site transfers via neteller.
So why have an account in other currencies? I don't get it. |

Re: Non-USD neteller account question?
Much like a currency exchange center, Neteller charges a fee for changing currencies. If you went to a normal currency exchange and bought 1000 euros with whatever dollars that costs and then immediately sold them back. You would not get your original amount of dollars back. So if you are going to mostly be dealing with dollars (i.e. you play a lot of online poker) then you should always have a dollar account to avoid the currency exchange fees. If you didn't play a lot of poker and bought into a lot of UK casinos as your primary gambling, then you would probably want your Neteller to be in pounds. So basically have your account in whatever type of money you use the most.

Re: Non-USD neteller account question?
You have to ask them to change it. Neteller Debit cards go by currency too, so if you change your account currency your card immediately expires and you got to wait 2 weeks for the next one! I screwed up big on this one.
