Default A good beat story, aka why you should raise the blinds

Not sure if I could have gotten anymore here, but I wanted to show that the good guys win now and then with crap too:
PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (6 handed)

Preflop: Lucky Bastard is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Lucky Bastard posts a blind of $0.75.
Lucky Bastard (poster) checks, MP calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, Lucky Bastard bets, MP folds, Button calls, BB folds.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Lucky Bastard bets, Button calls.

River: (5.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Lucky Bastard bets, Button calls.

Final Pot: 7.50 BB

Why are you posting a blind + dead UTG? Can't wait one hand?

In NPA's book there is a section entitled "for elite players only" on posting UTG so that you can pick up a trash hand and flop two pair rivered full house.

The table stakes were low enough (I have been working towards $2/$4) and I had just gotten back from walking the dog/yelling at the wife, I didn't even think about it. I just hit the 'I am back' and let the game go. Any time other, I would certainly let the blind get back to me first.

Well I fail to see how the table stakes makes any difference as to why you post not only a BB, but a BB+SB in the UTG position.

Stick with the plain I wasnt paying attention excuse, or even better come up with some elaborate scheme of how you were trying to build a table image. A wacky entertaining story is always good cover for poor plays becuase the wife was getting on your nerves.
