Default Live tourney - on the bubble

I played a live tourney on saturday, with 14 participants.
When down to 4 players, with 3 prices (50%, 30%, 20%) I am shortstacked after a bad beat (opponent on the bubble hits 2-outer on river).

Average stack is 17.5K, and I am hanging in with aprox. 8K. Blinds are 300-600 with a 50 ante. I am big blind and find KJo. Button who has been aggressive the last couple of hands raises to 3.000 (earlier he has showed he is able to laydown big hands preflop). I am still steaming a bit inside after the bad beat, and maybe should have folded, but instead pushes all-in. Opponent who has maybe 20K calls and shows 4-4.
No help and I get the honour of being bubbleboy.

Should I just fold this hand, and wait for a better opportunity to get to the middle first-in?

Yes fold. In this situation it is better to be the initial aggressor. Especially with a hand like KJ.

There is T900 from the blinds and and T200 from the ante for T1100. It's T2400 to you so there is now T3500 in the pot. You don't have odds for a call and so your only two options are to push or fold.

Your read says the guy is bullying so it's less likely that you're dominated. What are you hoping he has here? Risking T3000 to win T1100 shows strength to me, since he could have simply raised T1800 or so if he was on a steal.

The worsts hand I'd expect to see from him would be 78s or something of that nature. You're on the bubble and doubling up through one of the other stacks will put you in good money position. You have a big enough stack to last a few rounds.

I think you muck this and wait.
