How did this trip go? Some buddies and I are heading that way on the weekend of 7/10.

How is the new Harrah's room?

I was there a few months back and found the Harrah's room to be much more comfortable than the Isle. They had a helluva time keeping the 10/20 game running though - I don't think we even ever got 9 handed. I was one of 4 that attempted to get a game started on a friday afternoon (we went thurs and fri and came back on saturday) and after an hour or so of reduced rake shorthanded play we decided to break it up and go eat. The brush and dealers claimed that they normally didn't have that much trouble keeping the 10 game running on friday - but who knows...

Harrahs has a free coke machine in the back and you can serve yourself - they also always seemed to have free hot dogs or sandwich type stuff back there as well. A lot of dealers migrated over from the Isle and most are good.

Another thing that's nice at Harrah's is the auto-shufflers they have put in all the main game tables. Definitely speeds things up.

I'm sure the Isle is still the most popular room over there - but if you are planning on playing the 3/6/12 game there was plenty of action at both places.

Thanks!

It didn't happen.

But I was next to the Stud table when they hit their jackpot. It was Quad 4's beating Quad deuces. The jackpot was a total of about $7000.

I was up a tiny amount from the trip. And up a little more from the casino coupons (they send out cash back coupons - I think it's for table game play).

One of my buddies did very very well. He was up a bunch.

Played at the Isle on Thursday night (10 June) and the 3/6/12 game was good. Lots of bad players as usual. Then I played in the 10/20 game.

The 10/20 game is better in terms of rake, but it was a horrible game that night. There was this young guy there (Boston cap, yellowish shirt, married) who was a lucky rat bastard. He won with everything. He was at one table and up about a grand. When he left our table, he was up about $1500. He could not lose. It was sad for most everyone else there.

Friday seems to be the best night to play at the Isle. We did go to Harrah's late Friday night. My friend got sat at the only 10/20 table. There were three wild/tilting/maniacal players there. They played anything and everything and lost a lot. My friend picked up quite a few of their chips.

Harrah's is nice, but not as busy as the Isle. They are very close to each other, so check both of them.

My other friend went to Coushatta on Friday, but it wasn't very busy. He played in the tournament, and did okay. The rings games were not very well populated there.

Follow the tournaments. They usually seed the ring games.

Isle now has a tournament every weekend.

Good luck!
