Just to clarify, you are all correct, my figures were for early surrender, my mistake.

Here is another question: will surrender help reduce the risk of ruin? With no math to back it up, it is logical to me that it would reduce the downward swings but not affect the upward swings since it would reduce the severity of runs of horrible cards. Any thoughts?
