Default Flop Decision

I think I will be getting back into playing the 5/10 6 max games at Party. I played a short session while home for lunch today. I am looking for advice on how to play this hand.

It was my very first hand at the table and I had no reads. I posted the BB and UTG posted as well. He checked, 1 more limper, the SB completed and I checked with the powerful 95o. The flop came 654 rainbow. The SB bet out and I raised. Is that the standard play or should I have just mucked?

Either play is fine. So long as you don't call, call, call.

When I'm starting out, I usually like to play either a little crazy or overly conservative. Then, after a while I'll switch it up to take advantage of the way people have adjusted to my play.

Folding seems a bit weak to me, but I have to admit that sometimes I'll do it here when I first start out.
