Default poker in orlando

my company is having our annual meeting in orlando. as i am not much for disney/etc theme parks, i have been trying to find out if there are any casinos/boats/other poker anywhere in the area in which to spend my free time.

i can't find any info in the archives of this forum or on the internet -- anyone know of any place to play poker convenient to orlando?

thanks,
np

there are none, the closest place is going about an hour either east or west. in tampa is the hard rock and then go east to cape canaveral for casino boats. or the dogtrack in daytona may be slightly closer, but not really. thats it unless you can get hooked up in a private game.

Same situation for me 2 years ago -- I rented a car and went to Port Canaveral. Hopefully, you can read my trip report here:

The link I give at the beginning is no longer good, but this is the boat you want:

Things have possibly changed, what with the poker boom and all. I had a great time on the cruise.
