These are obviously very disciplined people who will put off having sex until next month when they can afford them. They certainly would not endanger their lives with the possibility of another child.

Vehn, Show them some respect.

Condoms. Obviously.

Maybe they decided to put the smack in their pockets and hope for the best....

Returned i.e. decided that 1/2 of their items were more important than it.

I would say something child related. Maybe diapers or formula?

There's clearly non-affluent couple in the line in front of me. Apparently they were a little overzealous in their budgetting

That is the nicest way of saying poor white trash that I've ever seen.

Condoms would have been my guess. Please tell me at least that they didn't have their kids there at 1:00 in the morning.

And what were some of the items that they DID buy then? How about some guesses at that? I'd say one of those cheap $5 no-name DVD's would have been a must buy.

And finally, why the heck is this topic so interesting to me?

You should have realized the EV of the situation and bought the condoms for them.

Obviously doesn't matter but they were non white. I didn't see the condoms until they walked away. Otherwise I seriously would have considered buying them for them. Unfortunatly (and this is pretty bad for a poker player) when I got to my car and on the drive home while I was considering this, I realized I couldn't name ONE other item that they were buying or returning. Oh well..

Bastard .. my first guess was diapers, my second guess was condoms.
Let's turn this into a family fued type of thing ... my top 5 answers:
Wal-Mart shopbacks:
1 - Diapers
2 - Condoms
3 - Formula
4 - Rx Medicine (especially antibiotics)
5 - Car battery (how could you not buy it if you needed it?!!?)

Anyone else wanna play?
