Default Two More Questions From A Beginner

At the only two close Floridian casinos in my area, both casinos only have $1/2 games. Why is another story, but the real question I ask is:

1) If a casino only has $1/2/5 chips, how, and how much does the rake take off? (Even if each casino is different, a general explanation would be just as appreaciated)

2) How are ya

Thanks for taking your time, bye.

Since the casino can used quarters to take the rake, any rake amount or % is possible.

I've played at the track at Daytona. The games were two max and it was played 2/2 for max pots. The rake was 10% to four dollars. The games were pretty soft loose and passive.
Hope this helps.

maybe a timed rake? Every hour the table is required to pay $1? Or the button pays $1?

I've played at two different dog tracks. One was a 1/2 and the other was all 2$ bets with 1 big blind. Both had a rake of 10%, up to 5 $, which is absolutely ridiculous. If you are anything more than a recreational player, avoid these games at all costs unless you just really love gambling!

at EBRO Greyhound racetrack, the rake is 10%, up to a max of $3.00, which is 90% of the pots. i would assume it is the same at most of the others.

cheers!

1. I play at the daytona track very frequently, it can be a very easy game, but you have to play extrememly tight. My understanding of Florida poker rooms is that everything is regulated, I may be wrong... but the rake is 10% up to 5 dollars, so Im assuming it the same everywhere in florida.

Herese something interesting: I hear they are going to have SnGs now, 50-100 dollar buy in. Should be interesting, not sure what they are gonan pull from it but if its like the rake I wouldn't be surprised if it is 10 bucks or so. Im in Jersey now, Ill give everyone an update when I head back down to school in august

2. Im good, yourself?

Don't play 1/2. There's no point. If you were a world-class player playing against idiots you could still only earn minimum wage in that game.

The gambling boats that leave from Miami have much higher limits (up to 50-100?), or you could play online.
